There isn’t a better way to start your Wednesday than this week’s “Where Are They Wednesday” the amazing Kelsey!!! Kelsey has been cheering since she was in the 5th grade and has loved every moment of her experience. In high school Kelsey attended Cherokee Trail where she cheered for the Cougars for four years. Kelsey was a member of the Varsity squad all four years and was chosen as captain her junior and senior seasons. Her senior year Kelsey was awarded the Female Outstanding Cougar for her hard work in the classroom and in her sport. During her junior year of high school Kelsey started cheering at Rocky Mountain Elite where she competed on their Level 5 team both season. Kelsey was also a member of RME’s first worlds team. After high school Kelsey chose to attend the University of Colorado where is majoring in Integrated Psychology and working towards becoming a science teacher. While at CU Kelsey has been a member of All Girl Cheer squad the last three years and is preparing to try out for her 4th season later this month. Outside of her academics and athletics Kelsey is also on member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and spends a lot of her free time volunteering at philanthropic events. Cheerleading is one of Kelsey’s favorite things to do and what better way to show that passion than to coach. On top of her busy schedule she is she also coaches the Junior 2 all star team “Galaxy” at North Metro Elite where she gets the chance to show her love of the sport and help young athletes develop her same passion. During the summers Kelsey travels around the United States staffing cheer camps for the Universal Cheerleaders Association. Kelsey is one of Colorado’s most decorated staffers winning Rookie of the Year and Veteran of the Year in her first three summers. Keep up all the hard work Kelsey you truly are an inspiration to so many!! Good luck at try outs for CU and in your 4th summer on staff!!! Let’s here it for Kelsey!!!
