This week’s “Where Are They Wednesday” takes the love of cheerleading to a whole new level, and the title goes to Hadley! She is one of the hardest working, motivated and talented athletes to come through our facility.
Hadley began cheering during her 8th grade year on a senior level 2 team where she was able to help her team place 3rd at the UCA All Star Nationals. During her freshman year of high school cheerleading began to over Hadley’s life. She competed on a junior level 4 team as well as competed with Douglas County High School on their Varsity COED team. While competing that year she placed 3rd at WSA Nationals in New Orleans, won the 2009 5A COED state championship, and placed 8th in the nation at UCA High School Nationals.
During Hadley’s Sophomore year of high school her success continued to grow. She helped her team win back to back 5A COED titles and place 6th at UCA High School Nationals. As Hadley continued with her cheer career she also progressed in the all star world. Her junior year Hadley was a member on a small senior level 5 team and was given the opportunity to compete at the USASF Worlds that year.
Hadley’s senior year of high school she transferred schools and cheered on the Thunder Ridge All Girl Varsity squad. She helped lead the Grizzlies to a 2nd place finish at the 2012 5A Colorado Spirit Championships and a 6th place finish at the 2013 UCA High School National Championship. That year Hadley also competed with United Elite’s Senior 5 team, Lightning. The Lightning Ladies placed 6th at the UCA All Star Nationals and competed at the 2013 USASF Cheerleading World Championship.
Not only was Hadley successful on the cheer floor but in the classroom as well. She graduated with an Honors cord and an International Baccalaureate diploma. After high school Hadley chose to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder where she is majoring in Public Health. Hadley was a member of the first CU All Girl team to compete at the UCA College National Championship. Hadley and the Buffs competed in the D1A All Girl division and in the World University Cheerleading Championships. CU All Girl had two amazing routines and was able to bring the World University Cheerleading Championship title home to Colorado.
During the summer you can catch Hadley traveling around Colorado and the Midwest as a staff member for the Universal Cheerleaders Association. We are all very proud of Hadley and cant wait to see what your future holds! Let’s hear it for Hadley!!!
