Meet the Staff:

Kaylan Helm

This week we are excited for everyone to get to know Kaylan Helm! He is our All Star Director at our Colorado Springs location, Colorado Elite. Kaylan is one of the most genuine, fun loving and motivated coaches out there. He is always in the gym and constantly on the go! He will do everything in he power to make sure his athletes and families have everything they need and want. He always has a smile on his face and he will not stop until everything is done. He is Elite’s go to guy when it comes to a helping hand. Stop by and chat with Kaylan if you get a chance, you won’t be disappointed at all!

How long have you been a part of the Cheerleading Industry?

“13 years total”

What University did you attend?

“I attended Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. I received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with minors in Watershed Science and Biology.”

How long have you been coaching and what team(s) have you/do you coach?

“I have been a coach and a UCA staff member for the last 10 years. This will be my 5th season with Elite. I have coached the Grizzlies (RME), Black Ice, Frost and the Arctic Ladies. This season I will be coaching the Falcons and Eagles at Colorado Elite. I was also the Englewood High School Assistant coach for the 2009-2010 season.  “

Notable Achievements:

“I placed top 4 every year I competed with Colorado Mesa!”

What was your favorite part of a being a cheerleader?

“My favorite part of cheering is the stunting. Cheerleading is an ever evolving sport and you can never know everything about it. There is always new ways to toss, flip, and spin people.”

What is your favorite part about coaching?

“Watching the look in an athletes eyes when they do a new skill for the first time. Coaching is the most rewarding job out there.
