Congratulations Taylor on being this week’s Cheerleader of the Week!  Keep up the hard work!

Get to know our cheerleader of the week:

What grade are you in?

12th

What school do you go to?

Skyline High School

How long have you been cheering?

4 years

How long have you been a part of The North Metro Elite Family?

2 fantastic months

What do you like to do with your free time when you’re not cheering?

I spend the majority of my time cheering, so free time is a god send. When the opportunity presents itself I love to watch movies and hang out with friends. I also spend a lot of my free time shopping either online or out and about. It is a real addiction.

What is your favorite part about being at North Metro Elite?

I absolutely LOVE Coach Jeff and Coach Katie. I perform and execute my skills the best when I have a strong connection with my coaches. I have not only developed a wonderful athlete/coach relationship with Jeff and Katie but a great friendship as well. I feel safe at NME which is very important to me. I also have a lot fun which is what cheerleading is all about! I look forward to my time at NME every Monday because I know not only will my skills improve, but I’m going to have a blast learning.

Favorite part of a cheerleading routine and why?

My favorite part about a cheerleading routine is that moment when you hit your skill perfectly and the crowd goes wild. That moment is so rewarding because every cheerleader understands the struggle of learning, hitting, and perfecting skills in a routine. I compete for that reason. Those moments seem to pass in slow motion and I take in everything I can.

What is your favorite Tumbling skill?

My favorite tumbling pass is a round off backhand spring back tuck. It is my hardest running tumbling skill at the moment and I love that it challenges me.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to major in marketing and minor in interior design in college. I hope to take those two accomplishments and open my own interior design business. I love designing and creating and hope to become an amazing interior designer one day.
