North Metro Cheerleader of the Week: Ambrosia A.!

Cheerleader of the Week
 Ambrosia A.

Ambrosia is a member and a captain of the Centaurus Varsity High School cheerleading team.  Ambrosia is a great example of the saying “hard work pays off”!  Our staff loves working with her, not only because of her great personality but also because she is constantly pushing herself to the next level!  Her persistence and drive to keep gaining new skills is awesome! She is a great talent and leader on her team – we can’t wait to see what’s in store for her in the future!

Congratulations Amber on being this week’s Cheerleader of the Week!  Keep up the hard work!

Get to know our Cheerleader of the Week:

What grade are you in?

12

What school do you go to?
Centaurus High School

How long have you been cheering?
Technically since my freshmen year, but when I was little my mom coached a 10-12 year old team that I was much too little to be on so I was the ‘mascot’ and had a matching mini uniform.

How long have you been a part of The North Metro Elite Family?
For three years now, but I wish it was four!

What do you like to do with your free time when you’re not cheering?
What free time? Cheerleading is not only my sport, it is also my hobby! However besides that, probably making stuff for my team or spending time with my friends.

What is your favorite part about being at North Metro Elite?
The environment and the coaches. The coaches invest so much time and effort into you and they really do want to see you improve and make them proud!

Favorite part of a cheerleading routine and why?
Honestly I love it all! If I had to pick it would probably be stunting even though it is the most nerve-wracking part! It just feels amazing when you get on the mat and hit that stunt sequence, that you’ve put countless hours and repetitions into perfectly.

What is your favorite Tumbling skill?
Anything running because I feel so powerful! But I also like my standing series to a tuck because you can do as many back-handsprings as you want and build up speed and power with each one.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Surprisingly, I really want to be a cheer coach. There is nothing that I love more than the sport besides my family. My goal after college is to stay as involved in cheerleading as possible and for as long as I can both as an athlete and as a coach!
