Monsoon is one of the most talented overall teams that United Elite has had the pleasure of having in their program. They’ve had so many successes throughout their season. Monsoon also had some challenges to overcome in the weeks leading up to Nationals. For the majority of their season they competed with 19 athletes, due to injuries throughout the year. Three weeks before Nationals, all team members were cleared for full participation and were added back into the routine. Monsoon had the challenge of forming a new stunt group with athletes that haven’t worked together all year and performing an elite level stunt sequence.
Their goal going into Nationals was to hit their routine and give the performance of their season. On day 1, they had some mistakes and knew that they had to give everything they had on day 2.
Their day 2 performance was the performance they’ve been working for since the beginning of their season. All their stunts hit (including the brand new group)!!! When they came off the floor, they were all so excited and proud of the routine they had just put on the mat. The perfect way to end their season! This team had definitely become a family through the ups and downs they’ve encountered during their season and they couldn’t have ended with a better routine. Go Monsoon!!!
