Elite High School Spotlight

Faith Christian Academy Varsity

Faith Christian Varsity is one of the hardest working teams who trains at our Broomfield facility, North Metro Elite. Each week Faith Christian comes in ready to try new stunts. They are constantly supporting one another. If a change is made among the groups, each girl is supportive and works hard to make sure each girl knows how to perform the stunt with great technique. During tumbling, each girl pushes herself to improve their tumbling technique every week. Many of the girls on the squad are very close to learning new skills, which we hope, they are confident enough in to perform this coming competition season. We know all of these ladies hard work will pay off come competition day. We at Elite are excited to watch and cheer on Faith Christian at State this year!

What is special about your team?

“Our team this year if full of spirit, energy and laughter. They have been together since May and have come together to support each other no matter what. Our team has a passion for God as well as a passion for cheer. Our team strives to break the stereotype of the typical cheerleader society usually knows. We are a family that trusts, has conflict and loves like Jesus loves.”

What is your team’s motto?

“This year, we are really focusing on our team verse: Philippians 2:1-4 “So if ther is an encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my job by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count other more significant than yourself. Let each of you look not only ot his own interests but also to the interest of others.”

What traditions does your team have?

“We always have a devotion and worship before any game or competition. It really helps us to be on the same page and same mind before we do anything as a team. We love to sing! You will hear us singing before we go on the mat to compete or cheer for a game.”

What is your team goal for the upcoming State Competition?

“Our team’s goal is the same each year – Do excellent in all we do and give all the glory to God. If we do excellent in all we do, the scores will speak for themselves.”
